In order to avoid the high current of the unit, an overload protector will be installed to ensure the normal operation of the unit. The overload protector can be generally divided into two types: built-in and external. The built-in protector cannot be seen inside the compressor or on the outside of the compressor. The external protector is installed on the 3 terminals of the compressor. Above the common end of the compressor, you can see it by opening the cover of the compressor. In comparison, the sensitivity and accuracy of the built-in overload protector are higher than those of the external overload protector.
1. When the refrigerant is lacking, both the built-in protector and the external protector have limited maintenance effect on the machine, so the air-conditioning system needs to increase the maintenance for the lack of refrigerant.
2. When there is too much refrigerant, the overload protector cannot play a maintenance role. High-voltage maintenance measures such as high-voltage switches should be used in the system to avoid the damage to the machine caused by too much refrigerant.
3. In the case of high compression ratio, the overload protector cannot play a maintenance role, and another low-voltage maintenance measure must be set up to maintain the machine.
The screw air compressor overload protector is installed inside the compressor. The function of the overload protector is often used to install between the main and forced sides of the power transmission. When an overload fault occurs, that is, when the torque exceeds the set value, the torque limiter will be separated to maintain the driving machinery and load. Avoid overheating and damage to the protector due to overloading of the main power line.
